Broad Functions

We’re seeking a passionate and driven individual who not only appreciates the performing arts but thrives in the challenge of advancing ambitious goals. The Campaign Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of all campaign tasks and activities, tracking and reporting on campaign progress, and maintaining the campaign budget. This role involves working closely with the Chief Development Officer (CDO), Senior Major and Planned Gifts Officer, and Major Gifts Officer to ensure the success of fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate embraces working independently while contributing effectively in a team-oriented environment, anticipates what’s next with proactive foresight, juggles multiple priorities with ease, excels in writing with clarity and impact, and demonstrates meticulous attention to detail.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage and report on fundraising campaign progress including pipeline, prospect tracking, task assignments and maintaining campaign timelines.
- Conduct research and assist with preparing prospect profiles in collaboration with the Major Gifts Officer. Enter all information into SalesForce.
- Conduct research on critical campaign-related issues and projects, e.g. donor recognition, with Senior Major and Planned Gifts Officer.
- Work with Senior Major and Planned Gifts Officer to finalize talking points for volunteer solicitors.
- Make arrangements for meetings with major donors: Work with the CDO and to schedule meetings with prospective donors. This includes email and phone calls to all people involved.
- Work with the CDO to prepare for Campaign Cabinet meetings, ensuring all necessary materials are organized. Attend each meeting and keep accurate notes and follow up with cabinet members to remind and clarify their agreed tasks, providing necessary resources. Manage the logistics of the meetings.
- Follow up after each solicitation meeting to ensure donors are thanked within 48 hours of receiving the gift and receive any promised materials or actions.
- Confirm all gifts and pledges are recorded and processed accurately. Prepare acknowledgment letters for all campaign gifts and pledges. Select appropriate gifts for donors when necessary, and deliver if needed.
- Update donor records in Salesforce including follow-up actions so it can be tracked.
- Maintain an updated list of naming and dedication opportunities. Also, assist with managing the recognition process, including the execution, management, and fulfillment of all donor signage in collaboration with the CDO and COO.
- Coordinate printing of all campaign materials.
- Implement signature campaign events, working with the Development Operations Team, including focused leadership prospect cultivation events both on and offsite.
- Assist, when needed, in other areas of Development.
- Maintain the campaign budget with the CDO.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education, Experience And Skills
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years experience in the fundraising field.
- Experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce and Paciolan
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent analytical and research skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency in budget management and reconciliation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage and execute events.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with various senior level staff and volunteers.
- Commitment to follow-up and donor engagement.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required to relate to a diverse group of donors, prospects, and volunteers, including tact, diplomacy, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
