Cancer Support Community San Francisco Bay Area (CSC SFBA) provides no-cost emotional, social, and healthy lifestyle support to people facing cancer—patients, caregivers, and their loved ones. As we celebrate our 35th year and prepare to open the largest, state-of-the-art cancer support center in the Western U.S., we are adding to our team to expand and enhance our impact across the region.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a mission-driven, detail-oriented, and collaborative Development Associate to support our fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This position is ideal for someone passionate about nonprofit development and wants to grow their career in fundraising while helping to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families impacted by cancer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support for fundraising efforts including donor correspondence, acknowledgments, mailings, and calendar scheduling.
• Maintain donor records and gift entry using our donor management system (CRM); assist with reporting and list generation.
• Coordinate logistics and provide on-site support for donor events, stewardship activities, and fundraising events.
• Assist with production of fundraising collateral and campaign materials.
• Support major gift tracking, prospect research, and donor cultivation efforts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with communications and program teams to support fundraising messaging.

Qualifications:

• A passion for the mission of CSC SFBA.
• College education preferred. Administrative and/or office experience required. Fundraising background is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM platforms (Gnosis, Salesforce, etc.) a plus.
• Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Comfort working independently as well as part of a team.
• Commitment to CSC’s mission of providing compassionate cancer support.
