Position Title: Development and Design Project Manager (PM)

Reports To: Director of Development

Position Summary:

In conjunction with the Director of Development, Development and Design PM is responsible for assisting and managing project conceptualization, planning, administration, programming, design, market and financial analysis. This position will interface with our trusted design and construction partners and to successfully develop, or redevelop, real estate. Our team is seeking a motivated candidate who can take initiative, think strategically and have an overall positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

·      Communicating with project stakeholders concerning project details and deliverables.

·      Assist in creative material/content for various development projects.

·      Manage the planning and implementation of projects with the Development Team.

·      Coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables.

·      Analyzing data as required.

·      Conducting administrative duties, such as setting up meetings and drafting minutes

·      Tracking and reporting project progress.

·      Attend project meetings and document meeting minutes.

·      Work with architects, engineers, and other consultants to plan projects related to public entitlement, site permits, acquisition due diligence and closing activities.

·      Performing other duties assigned by the Director of Development in an orderly and efficient manner.

Recommended Qualifications:

·      Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on real estate experience, architecture or project management experience. Including a series of accomplishments which indicate increased responsibility and demonstrated performance in a broad array of development experience including public finance and incentives.

·      Adobe creative suite and/or AutoCAD experience preferred.

·      Highly effective communication, presentation and listening abilities are essential for navigating company investment/development opportunities through the multitude of public and private steps for successful completion of economic goals and objectives.

·      Ability to set personal and project priorities and be highly organized in day-to-day and longer-term planning and execution, and track and maintain complex schedules effectively.

·      Demonstrated ability to work with design and construction professionals.

Work Environment:

·      General office environment located in Downtown Birmingham, Michigan.

·      Collaborative, supportive and positive work culture where teamwork is encouraged.

·      There will be some travel to visit properties and attend offsite meetings.
