Role Description

We are seeking a talented and driven Power BI Developer to join our data analytics team.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing, and maintaining interactive and insightful Power BI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into effective Power BI visualizations
• Design, develop, and implement visually appealing and interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights
• Optimize and enhance existing Power BI reports to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and user-friendliness
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources to create unified datasets for reporting.
• Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure data integrity and resolve data-related issues
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to validate report accuracy and troubleshoot any potential issues
• Collaborate with the business analysts and data scientists to understand data models and design effective data visualizations
• Assist in training end-users and provide ongoing support to ensure proper utilization of Power BI reports
• Document the report development process, including data sources, data transformations, and report design, for future reference
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer with hands-on experience in creating complex reports and dashboards
• Solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices
• Proficient in SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes
• Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and dimensional modeling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Snowflake Database
• Knowledge of data analytics and statistical concepts
• Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations
• Experience with industry standard financial and headcount terminology
• Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or QlikView
