Remote People is partnering with a pioneering international logistics and supply chain solutions provider to headhunt a talented Destination Operations Manager for their flagship Rotterdam office. As Destination Operations Manager, you will play a central part in ensuring seamless cargo operations, mentoring a high-performing team, and delivering exceptional customer service in one of Europe’s most important logistics hubs.

Position Details:

• Base Salary: €4,000–5,000/month (gross)
• Type: Full-time
• Work Arrangement: 4 days on-site, 1 day remote
• Location: Prime city center, Rotterdam (parking included)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the destination coordination team to ensure smooth cargo handling and timely deliveries.
• Serve as the primary customer contact, delivering service excellence and managing escalations.
• Oversee compliance with EU transport and customs regulations.
• Collaborate with documentation, transport, and IT teams to enhance service delivery and operational performance.
• Analyze performance data and implement improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s a plus).
• 5+ years’ experience in logistics coordination or customer service, ideally within the EU.
• Strong knowledge of EU transport and customs regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software (TMS, WMS); control tower solutions a plus.
• Fluency in English; other European languages are an advantage.

Nice to Have: Basic Polish language skills or knowledge of Polish/Slovenian ports (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Koper).
