Location: 100% On-Site in Dallas, TX

Position Type: Contract-to-Hire (6-12 months)

Hourly Pay Rate: $25-$28/hour W2 (based on experience)

ABOUT THE POSITION

GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a full-time, on-site role based in Dallas, TX. The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for providing hardware, software, and network support across a corporate enterprise environment. This includes day-to-day troubleshooting, performing installs, moves, adds, changes (IMAC), executive support, and assisting with relocation activities. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, be proactive, and have a solid understanding of Windows 10, O365, and basic networking fundamentals.

  • Perform IMAC services: installs, moves, adds, and changes for desktops, laptops, and network equipment
  • Monitor and maintain hardware inventory levels
  • Perform preventive maintenance on computer equipment as required
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral issues in a Windows 10/O365 environment
  • Provide hands-on support for executives and VIP users
  • Assist Facilities Services with office relocation and technology setup
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new users and provide end-user training on hardware and software
  • Maintain detailed documentation of support activities and resolutions

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

2+ years of experience with the following skill sets:

  • Desktop, laptop, and mobile device support in an enterprise environment
  • Windows 10, O365, SCCM, and Trend Micro troubleshooting
  • Basic networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, LAN/WAN)
  • Hardware diagnosis, testing, and component replacement
  • Customer-facing support with strong written and verbal communication skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

  • A+ Training and/or Certification
  • MCP Certification (Microsoft Certified Professional)
