Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring smooth operation of computer systems and networks. This role requires a strong understanding of various technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Provide first-line support for hardware and software issues, resolving technical problems efficiently.
Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN), ensuring connectivity and performance.
Assist with the configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of firewalls and VPNs.
Support Windows operating systems, including installation, updates, and user account management.
Configure and manage DNS settings to ensure proper network functionality.
Utilize help desk software to track issues, document solutions, and maintain accurate records.
Offer exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with users to understand their needs.
Collaborate with team members on computer management tasks and network troubleshooting.
Perform regular maintenance on systems using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to ensure optimal performance.
Skills
Proficient in LAN setup and management.
Strong understanding of computer management principles.
Experience with firewall configurations and VPN setups.
In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems.
Familiarity with DNS configurations and troubleshooting techniques.
Proven experience in help desk support roles with a focus on customer service excellence.
Solid understanding of computer networking concepts.
Experience using SCCM for system management tasks is a plus.
