Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist
Location: Richmond, VA – HYBRID – 3 days on site

Insight Global is seeking an experience Desktop Support Specialist to help our client in their Windows 11 upgrade project to migrate from Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 365 (32-bit) to Windows 11 and Office 365 (64-bit). This individual will be responsible for upgrading and reimaging workstation to Windows 11 in addition to installing and configuring Office 365 and other related software. The specialist will also serve as a point of contact for tracking and reporting deployment status and troubleshooting any upgrade issues. The Desktop Support Specialist will exhibit excellent communication and exceptional customer service skills by working directly with end users in addition to collaborating with other the organization's technical and project teams. Parking is also not provided for contractors at this time.
Responsibilities: Deploying and reimaging workstations from Windows 10 to Windows 11 Deploying Microsoft Office 365 64-bit Installing and configuring software on workstations Coordinating, scheduling, and communicating with end users on timeframe for deployment Communicating deployment status on a weekly basis to project team Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to migration and upgrade efforts
Must-haves
- 4+ years exp with Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems
- Recent experience in a Help Desk/Technical Support role
- Experience using Workstation Imaging Solution
- Experience using a Service Mgmt Ticketing System
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Applications
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and/or SQL reporting
- Experience with Symantec's Altiris and/or Microsoft InTune
- Experience with Ivanti Service Desk
- Experience with Microsoft Deployment Tool Kit
- Experience with Active Directory
- Experience using an Endpoint Management System
Compensation: $20/hr to $25/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
