The Desktop Support Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of desktop hardware, software, and related technologies.

  • This role ensures smooth operation of IT services by responding to incidents, deploying devices, supporting office moves, and assisting with infrastructure components.
  • The ideal candidate will be customer-oriented, technically proficient, and capable of handling multiple support tasks in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair desktop hardware and software
  • Support end-users with daily technology needs and ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Assist with audio-visual (AV) hardware setup and operation as required
  • Determine appropriate hardware and software solutions based on corporate standards and end-user requirements
  • Respond to incidents within defined SLA timeframes, ensuring appropriate urgency and timely follow-up
  • Handle disconnecting, relocating, and reconnecting desktop equipment for individual and group office moves
  • Deploy and upgrade desktop devices using imaging tools such as SCCM
  • Assist in administration and maintenance of IT infrastructure components
  • Support telephony systems (installation, troubleshooting, maintenance)
  • Use the corporate incident management system to log, track, and document support activities
  • Maintain accurate inventory and records of hardware and software assets
