A leading AI and high-performance computing company is on the lookout for a SoC Verification Lead to manage the verification of next-generation chiplet and SoC designs. You will oversee a talented team working on high-impact projects in the realm of cutting-edge hardware, ensuring seamless project execution from conception to completion.
This hybrid role offers flexibility across Toronto, Ottawa, and Boston, providing opportunities to collaborate on high-level projects at the intersection of AI and computing technology.
Role Overview:
Lead a team of engineers in the verification of advanced SoC and chiplet designs.
Supervise the creation and implementation of test plans, verification models, and integration strategies.
Apply advanced methodologies, including UVM and constrained random verification, to ensure design integrity.
Oversee power, performance, and functional verification, driving progress toward project milestones and tape-out.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including system architects and designers, to guarantee complete design validation.
Regularly assess verification metrics and adjust strategies to ensure goals are met.
Engage directly in writing verification code using languages like SystemVerilog, C/C++, Python, and other scripting tools.
Foster a collaborative team environment through mentorship and technical guidance, ensuring high-performance standards.
Manage the allocation of resources and ensure the team's objectives align with overall project goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
Over 10 years of experience in digital hardware verification, with at least 4 years in a leadership capacity.
Strong hands-on experience with SoC verification techniques like UVM, constrained random, and low-power methodologies.
Proficient in FPGA prototyping, emulation, and debugging practices.
Deep understanding of computer architecture, AI, machine learning, and modern CPU microarchitecture.
Demonstrated ability to manage SoC verification projects, driving them from concept to successful tape-out.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
Bonus Skills:
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL.
Knowledge of modern process nodes and low-power design techniques.
Familiarity with advanced CPU architecture and machine learning optimization.
