Senior ElectroMechanical Design Engineer

Join an innovative R&D team to help develop a next-generation robotic platform that will transform healthcare. In this senior-level role, you’ll design and build complex electro-mechanical systems, from early prototypes to final testing, within a regulated medical device environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop complex test fixtures from concept to release
• Support the mechanical design of product-level components
• Improve existing fixture designs and testing processes
• Help define firmware/software requirements for test equipment
• Create and manage technical documentation and test protocols
• Perform fixture qualifications and process validation
• Follow strict documentation and configuration control processes
• Lead and support cross-functional engineering projects
• Communicate with vendors and manage procurement needs
• Coordinate project timelines and deliverables across teams

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in electromechanical R&D, preferably in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, aerospace)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on experience designing, assembling, and testing electro-mechanical systems
• Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
• Knowledge of DFM/A, Six Sigma, and statistical tolerance analysis
• Familiarity with ASME drafting standards and GD&T
• Experience with PLM systems, BOMs, and engineering change processes
• Experience in fixture and process validation, with use of statistical tools like Minitab
• Desired: experience with MATLAB Simulink or LabView
• Strong documentation, communication, and technical leadership skills
• Ability to manage projects independently and collaborate across functions
