Staff / Senior / Junior Verification Engineer for IP/SoC

About the Role:

Job Description:

• Responsible for design verification at IP, Subsystem and SoC full-chip level
• Define verification strategy and test plan for complex digital IP and SoC, working closely with design engineers to identify critical verification scenarios
• Develop verification environment and testbench with Bus Functional Model (BFM) and Verification IP (VIP) using SystemVerilog (SVTB), UVM and/or System C, including stimulus, monitors, scoreboards, and checkers
• Create directed, use-case-driven, and constrained-random test cases that fulfill the test plan intent
• Analyze test results, debug test failures, identify and root-cause environment issues, RTL bugs and specification gaps
• Implement functional coverage and SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA) to discover functional gaps and improve design quality
• Perform formal verification using SystemVerilog Assertion and Formal Property Verification (FPV) tools
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and software engineers to ensure the design meets requirements and quality standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Proficiency in verification methodologies and languages, including SystemVerilog, OVM, UVM, SystemC
• Familiarity with industry-standard verification tools and capabilities, e.g. VCS, Verdi, HVP, URG, JasperGold
• Familiarity with the AMBA bus protocols (AXI, AHB, APB, CHI, ACE)
• Experience in debugging RTL code, developing measurable verification plans, writing test sequences, functional coverage and SVA assertions
• Experience in functional verification of common SoC building blocks and VIP for PCIE/USB/DDR/ISP/Display, etc. would be a plus
• Scripting experience with Perl, Python, TCL, shell, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills as a team player
• 5+ years of relevant experience in IP/SoC verification for Senior Engineer position; 8+ years of relevant experience for Staff Engineer position
