Your impact

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Design Manager to support our water and industrial water infrastructure projects. Design Centers are focused in the US and Canada but deliver projects globally. Focused designs deliver water and wastewater solutions, including the design of water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, water conveyance and consulting for our industrial and municipal clients. The Design Manager will lead the scoping, planning, and delivery of our projects including the quality and financial performance of the design team.

As a Design Manager, you will be able to leverage your people management skills to optimize your team’s performance and consistently deliver high-quality technical solutions for our clients. Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage teams through all phases of design planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements stated in the contract
  • Manage and coordinate between multi-disciplinary teams for a wholistic delivery of industrial water design deliveries
  • Must be highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Interface with clients on multi-disciplinary design decisions.
  • Be accountable for successfully completing projects to the satisfaction of the project manager, clients, and key stakeholders, while simultaneously ensuring that Jacobs’ business and policy expectations are met in the areas of health and safety, quality, financial, project delivery, and risk management
  • Contribute to the development of the Industrial Water Market Strategy that delivers leading-edge technology solutions for our clients

Here's what you'll need

  • Experience with large scale Industrial Water projects is a plus
  • Experience with design/build process is a plus
  • BS or MS Degree in Engineering or other engineering discipline with a focus on water/wastewater systems
  • Minimum 8 years engineering experience, with at least 3 years managing multidiscipline design teams
  • Construction background is applicable


Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have

  • PE License or ability to obtain
  • Experience with Design-Build and/or EPC projects
  • International project experience

145,000.00

Posted Salary Range Upper

200,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $145,000.00 to $200,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
