Key Responsibilities
* Drive advanced, complex, or new technologies in order to meet customer requirements
* Apply expertise to solve problems and support detailed design specifications, define roadmap and navigate business impact tradeoffs proactively at team BU level
* Interface with internal and external stakeholders regarding engineering design in new or complex technology requirements
* Exceptional at communicating and influence key BU leaders, stakeholders, and other internal/external customers using technical expertise, communication, collaboration and projects
* Own multiple, large complex program schedules, budgets, and milestones. Ability to prioritize and proactively propose risk mitigation steps
* Leads cross functional team discussion to gain buy in to implement novel solutions to complex problems that impact business processes
Functional Knowledge
* Demonstrates a broad and comprehensive understanding of the different systems, theories and practices relevant to a discipline. The role must keep abreast of new developments in order to help define the necessary changes to policy and practice
Business Expertise
* Utilizes highly specialized skills to expand Applied's technology footprint or customer base or to increase operational efficiencies in support of Applied's business objectives
Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of the industry in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. This includes enabling the business unit to differentiate itself from the competition

* Leads key cross-functional project teams or initiatives. Acts as a mentor and role model to others within the organization

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
