Description

The Design Engineer, working with Sales and Application Engineering, will create documents and designs of complex manifold assemblies and components.

Contributes to a positive working culture, builds strong relationships, and lives out the values of integrity, collaboration, and accountability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares or directs preparation of products, detailed drawings and schematics.
• Documents proper assembly and testing procedures when applicable.
• Analyzes product specifications and performance requirements to determine designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing methods.
• Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations.
• Analyzes and tests JEM manufactured products to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
• Evaluates and implements existing product applications to new product designs.
• Confers with company personnel to clarify or resolve design and document complications.
• Is motivated to work well as an individual or in a team environment.
• Prepares design modifications when needed.
• Complies with all JEM policies and procedures, including ISO, OSHA, and AWAIR requirements.
• Supports JEM’s vision and mission and exemplifies JEM’s core values daily.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Vo-tech or college degree in fluid power / hydraulics
• Five to ten years direct experience with cartridge valves and hydraulic systems
• Advanced knowledge of fluid power, hydraulic circuits and mobile equipment
• Advanced skills with SolidWorks design software
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office
