Job Title: Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to create 2D/3D mechanical systems drawings and models based on client-approved standards. The role involves generating electronic drawings, developing mechanical installation and shop drawings, and ensuring order entry validation through cross-checking design drawings and related Bill of Materials (BOM). The candidate will also generate as-built drawings from gathered data and adhere to specific acceptance criteria defined in the Pre-Project Planning Worksheet.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D/3D mechanical systems drawings and models as approved by the client.
• Develop electronic drawings in Maestro and associated 3D model drawing packages.
• Generate mechanical installation drawings and shop drawings in accordance with client standards.
• Modify shop drawings based on client-provided examples.
• Validate order entries by cross-checking design drawings and related Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Generate as-built drawings from on-site data or verification by client's on-site representative.
• Ensure deliverables meet defined acceptance criteria as specified in the Pre-Project Planning Worksheet.
• Track and report any rework that does not meet acceptance criteria in operational status reports.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience in mechanical engineering and design.
• Ability to create and modify 2D/3D mechanical systems drawings and models.
• Knowledge of conveyor design.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with parcel/material handling projects.
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients and vendors.
  
  

Work Environment

The position involves working with Maestro software to create electronic drawings, adhering to client standards for mechanical installation and shop drawings. The work environment requires attention to detail and adherence to predefined acceptance criteria. The role may include on-site data gathering or verification by client representatives.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $50.00/hr.
