We are seeking a motivated Design Engineer I to join our growing team. This entry-level role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful structural design projects while gaining direct mentorship from experienced engineers. You'll play a key role in design development, field assessments, and technical documentation while contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

• Assist in developing structural design plans using engineering concepts and code standards
• Perform field assessments under the supervision of senior engineers
• Complete structural calculations for steel, concrete, wood, masonry, and foundation systems
• Develop and verify structural models
• Support compliance observations and construction issue resolution
• Contribute to technical reports and continuous improvement initiatives
• Mentor and assist interns and junior engineers
• Perform other duties as assigned
  

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required
• Master’s degree preferred but not required

Certifications:

• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam

Experience:

• No prior experience required; ideal for recent graduates
  

• Technical proficiency in structural engineering fundamentals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team player with initiative and curiosity
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Adaptability in a fast-paced project environment
  

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
• SAP2000 / RISA-3D (or similar structural analysis software) – a plus
• AutoCAD – a plus
• ChatGPT or Copilot familiarity – a plus
