Job Title: Design Engineer

Job Description

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for defining Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) on Body in White (BiW) components. You will document GD&T/PMI in team center using established methodologies and analyze BiW components to ensure required tolerances with respect to body level functions. Additionally, you will perform tolerance stack-up calculations and contribute to concept proposals.

Responsibilities

• Define GD&T/PMI on BiW components.
• Document GD&T/PMI using established methodologies.
• Analyze BiW components for required tolerances related to body level functions.
• Perform tolerance stack-up calculations.
• Develop concept proposals.
• Ensure quality and timelines of every project deliverable.
• Participate in discussions with cross-functional teams to incorporate feedback, including Tolerance Simulation, Gap & Flush.

• Proficiency in design and engineering software such as NX.
• Strong understanding of tolerances and GD&T principles.

Work Environment

The role requires working in a collaborative environment, engaging with cross-functional teams to incorporate feedback and ensure project success. The use of team center for documentation and analysis will be essential, and proficiency in NX design software is required.
