Como Engineers Pty Ltd is a privately owned company who has successfully provided engineering and construction services to the Mineral Processing Industry since 1986.

The Como Engineers team consists of experienced metallurgists, multi-discipline engineers, construction supervisors and drafts-people, which enables us to offer a complete process and engineering service. We are able to supply services from metallurgical testing through to scoping and definitive feasibility studies as well as detailed engineering design to project construction and commissioning.

The Design Draftsperson will be involved in Mechanical, Structural and Piping design work, ranging from Overall Plant, down to equipment and other components. They will be liaising with discipline engineers and Project manager in order to come up with an effective design.

Main duties:

·        Produce detailed Mechanical, Structural and Piping design models and drawings using Solidworks and ProStructures for AutoCAD.

·        Ensuring that the Models and drawings are produced to scale and up to Australian Standard.

·        Working alongside other experienced designers and Engineers to have a fit for purpose design.

·        Assisting in improving drafting efficiency and meeting project schedule

·        Liaising with stakeholders and external sub-contractors

·        Perform all other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Design Manager

 Skills and Experience required:

• The successful candidate must possess extensive experience with SolidWorks, PDM, Autocad , Prostructure for AutoCAD and Navisworks
• Proficient in a 3D CAD Environment
• Qualification requirements: Diploma Mechanical , Structural or civil Drafting/Engineering or degree in industrial or product design.
• Comprehensive understanding of either Australian or Indonesian Standards relating to Civil, Structural, Mechanical and Piping Design
• Have extensive Resource Industry experience with an emphasis on Mineral Processing
• Good understanding of fabrication and construction techniques
• Self-motivated individual who is a multi-skilled draftsperson
• Pro-active and of a problem-solving nature and able to foresee potential issues and resolve accordingly
• Team player able to adapt to different type/size project
• Be able to lead a small team and communicate effectively
• Work to specific deadlines
• Willingness to learn/ work within a team environment is a must.
