Responsibilities

The Department of Dermatology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, invites applications for a full-time Dermatopathologist to join our expanding practice. We seek a highly motivated individual with a strong commitment to resident education, clinical research, and academic advancement.

This position offers a dual role in dermatopathology and medical dermatology, working collaboratively with two nationally recognized dermatopathologists within a state-of-the-art, fully digitized pathology environment. Responsibilities include daily pathology sign-out, direct patient care, resident supervision, and dermatopathology teaching for fellows and residents.

Our dynamic and multidisciplinary team includes two dermatopathologists, six medical dermatologists, one pediatric dermatologist, three Mohs surgeons, five advanced practice providers (APPs), and a robust, top-tier residency program. The successful candidate will have ample opportunity to lead innovative initiatives in digital pathology, tele-dermatopathology, and artificial intelligence (AI) integration. Interest or experience in hospital consultation dermatology is desirable and supported.

This role provides substantial opportunities to influence departmental growth, residency training, and clinical research activities. Candidates of all academic ranks are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited dermatology residency
  • Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Dermatology
  • Fellowship training in Dermatopathology
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Florida
  • Demonstrated interest in scholarly activity, education, and digital innovation preferred
