Deputy General Manager - Projects
- Role
- The Deputy General Manager (DGM) - Projects is responsible for all the Projects of Evolve Back Resorts in India as well as abroad.
- DGM is responsible to ensure the timely completion of the Projects with the highest standards of quality within the approved timelines and budgets.
- He should imbibe the Brand-philosophy of the Company, and continuously strive towards ensuring perfection, in its practice.

- Innovation & Creativity. Should remain abreast of latest developments and creatively suggest improvements, towards making Evolve Back Projects more innovative, technology centric and cost effective.
- Duties & Responsibilities
- The DGM Projects shall report to the Director of Projects or any other personnel designated by him and shall be responsible for the full spectrum of implementation of all projects of Evolve Back entrusted to him from inception to handover.
- Shall collaborate with the architects, consultants and contractors involved in different projects at various locations, to effectively execute the projects.
- Through Project Management software, shall schedule each Project with a sequence for purchase of material, manpower resources and fund requirements to ensure that the project is completed on time, with excellent quality within the estimated cost.
- Shall coordinate with all department heads like Procurement, Finance, Operations, HR, Sales or any other concerned for smooth functioning of the project.
- Responsible for preparation of BOQs (Bill of Quantities), arrive at cost and Estimation for each Project.
- Organise and chair meetings, preparing agenda and MOM, schedule and monitoring for effective planning, monitoring and mitigation during the entire execution of projects.
- Shall be responsible in preparing budget and cost control.
- Shall effectively utilize and improvise technical skills to implement projects in coordination with various teams like Civil, MEP, HVAC, fire, IT and Interiors to deliver excellent results.
- Responsible to manage the day-to-day operations of all project, and provide guidance to the Projects team on technical requirements, as and when required.
- Maintain courteous and healthy relationship with the vendors, suppliers and contractors with the result they would be delighted to engage with our projects anywhere.
- Recruit through HR, project team members as approved by the Director, train, develop and retain such talents to achieve best results in project implementation.
- Responsible for coordination with the Directors and provide them with the status on the progress of the projects through weekly and monthly MIS.
- Responsible for obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities and ensure that all local, state, and national building codes regulations and safety precautions are followed.
- Shall conduct market research in identifying contractors, processes and technologies and optimize costing in line with the best practices of Project Management.
- Shall manage maintenance of any existing buildings and AMC’s as required by the company from time to time.

- Working knowledge: Should have a thorough working knowledge of Project management and execution and shall continuously be on research to be most innovative keeping abreast of the best practices in the Project Management.
ii. People Management: Being an extremely people centric position, shall be responsible to devise strategies to keep the team highly motivated, leading to minimal attrition rates.
iii. Strategies: strategies and ideas shall be worked out in coordination with the entire team and presented to Director and Board for approval and implementation.
iv. Queries: Queries / requests received during any working day must be quickly attended to with highest service levels.
- Must adhere to all SOP’s of projects and must implement & monitor processes at all times.
vi. Neutrality: Shall be unbiased, but responsible to identify potential talent in the team, groom, train and mentor them to take up leadership roles.
vii. Technology: Shall continuously update with the latest technologies used in the Projects Management to keep abreast with the best in the field.
