We are a Delivery Service based in Houston, Texas is looking for a qualified part time Dispatcher to manage our office and dispatch delivery drivers. This an exciting position for the right individual to come into a growing operation and help put their stamp onto the company. Future growth within the company is always an option. This is a part time position 10-15 hrs/week. The duties for this position include but are not limited to: Scheduling and dispatching delivery drivers to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs Monitor daily route scheduling with drivers and customers Answer phones and assist with driver related questions Relaying information such as work orders or other messages to and from work crews, field inspectors, supervisors or emergency personnel Using telephones and text messages to contact employees Preparing daily work such as schedules Skills and qualifications: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition Excellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, routes and personnel Knowledge of computers for scheduling and other dispatching duties Knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel Knowledge of social media: Facebook, Instagram , etc. Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time Ability to work under stress and remain calm and to calm other people during rapidly changing circumstances Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment Schedule: 4-6 hour shift Tues-Thurs Job Type: Part-time Pay: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week Benefits: Flexible schedule Shift: Day shift Application Question(s): Would you please provide your email here in case we have other job openings?
