Summary: The Day Program Supervisor assists with oversight of the daily operation of a Day Habilitation program for individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities include supervision of staff, supervising staff activities, coordinating staff activities to meet the program objectives, and overseeing member services. The coordinator will assist in developing, implementing, and supervising training, and case management requirements of individuals. They will provide direct care support as needed and additional coordination of program duties as requested.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:00PM (40 hours)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Supervision of direct care staff, including conducting supervision meetings with staff at least once a month, coaching and mentoring for skill development, and addressing any disciplinary issues that may arise.
* Provide interim coverage during the Day Program Manager's absence as directed by and with the support of the Director of Day Habilitation or any other interim member of program management assigned to the facility.
* Provide leadership to staff by working with the program manager to create a cohesive team environment.
* Oversee the administering and interpreting of assessments to determine each individual's skill level on an annual basis
* Oversee and ensure that all documentation is completed within timelines and meets Mass Health regulations.
* Assists with supervising and managing all data collection.
* Ensure annual performance evaluations are completed on staff, including goals and accomplishments. Delivery evaluations are timely, raising any questions or concerns with your manager.
* Liaison with the Clinical Team and staff, sitting in on clinical assessments, working with the team on referrals, and developing of services within the Day Habilitation site.
* Assist with maintaining a budget for the Day Habilitation program within allowed spending.
* Maintain communication and collaborative relationships with other service providers like Mass Health and DDS.
* Serve as liaison between Day Services, residential, and family/guardian for individuals.
* Maintain sites according to DDS, Mass Health, CARF, and Agency standards
* Create opportunities and provide support to individuals in making decisions to develop their skills and foster independence.
* Maintain appropriate certifications (i.e. First Aid, CPR, OSHA, Fire Safety, Human Rights, PABC, etc.) and ensure that all staff maintain their certifications.
* Other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience:
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
* Must have a minimum of three to five years of related experience.
* Must have a working understanding of the clinical needs of the population.
* Must have a valid driver's license in the state of residence (MA or NH).
Knowledge/Skills:
* Ability to supervise staff to performance standards
* Issue resolution and problem-solving skills
* Knowledge of Day Habilitation regulations and CARF standards.
* Knowledge of Behavior Management and Human Rights.
* Excellent organizational skills and both written and verbal communication skills.
* Computer literacy includes the ability to proficiently use Microsoft products and web-based applications supported by the agency.
