Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Database Migration and Management Specialist with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and a strong understanding of database management, SAP analytics, and large-scale data migrations. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing critical database systems, advising clients on optimal practices and tools, and contributing to the enhancement of IT infrastructures for our customers. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and operate secure, high-availability SQL Server platforms for enterprise customers.
• Lead database lifecycle activities, including planning, installation, migration, optimization, tuning, and eventual phase-out.
• Execute large-scale database migrations while minimizing downtime and optimizing system performance.
• Provide expert advice to clients on database tools, methodologies, and optimal structures.
• Address and resolve system faults and manage changes via customer ticket systems, strictly adhering to ITIL processes for efficient operations.
• Collaborate closely with customers to ensure their IT infrastructure meets evolving business objectives and compliance requirements.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Several years of professional database management experience in enterprise-level environments.
• Academic background or professional training in IT or a related field.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including advanced capabilities like Always On, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), and SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services).
• Hands-on experience with at least one ticketing system and familiarity with ITIL operating processes.
• Excellent communication skills in German (minimum C1-level proficiency).
• Willingness to undergo security clearance (SÜ2).

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge and experience with modern database technologies and tools beyond SQL Server.
• Ability to work independently, research new technologies, and propose innovative solutions.
• Familiarity with a start-up culture and flat organizational structures.
• SAP and data analytics expertise is a significant plus.
