🔹 We're Hiring: Database Management Leader (Hybrid – Atlanta, GA) 🔹
Are you a strategic, hands-on Database Manager with deep SQL expertise and a knack for leading high-performing teams? A fast-growing, innovation-driven company is looking for a Database Management Lead to oversee the health, scalability, and performance of both production and non-production database environments. This is a hybrid role (2–3 days/week onsite in Atlanta) with long-term growth potential.
We're looking for a strong communicator and self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments, wears multiple hats, and can drive database modernization initiatives while managing a small but mighty DBA team.
🔧 What You’ll Do:
- Lead and mentor a team of DBAs supporting mission-critical systems.
- Create and own the database roadmap—aligning strategy with business needs.
- Oversee database lifecycle management, including upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
- Ensure data security, governance, availability, and regulatory compliance.
- Support Agile and DevOps practices, including collaboration with app dev and infrastructure teams.
- Own high-availability and disaster recovery strategies (Always On, backups, etc.).
- Monitor KPIs and performance using tools like Redgate and LogicMonitor.
- Manage partner relationships, software licensing, SLAs, and budget allocations.
đź’ˇ What You Bring:
- 10+ years in database administration, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2016+), including clustering, performance tuning, and HA/DR.
- Experience supporting both on-prem and SaaS environments (e.g., Azure SQL, MS Dynamics).
- Familiarity with tools like SSIS, SSRS, Redgate, and LogicMonitor.
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and user access management.
- Degree in IT or a related field (required).
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to guide cross-functional teams and juggle competing priorities.
âś… Bonus Points For:
- Certifications like MCSE, MCTS, or MCITP.
- Hands-on experience with Always On, Azure ecosystems, and cloud migration projects.
- Exposure to backfill/storage strategies, user access control, and legacy system modernization.
