GC Associates requires Database Engineers, including hardware and software engineers, to research, design, develop, and test computer hardware and software programs. Hardware includes computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems, and related equipment such as keyboards, modems, and printers. Software engineers develop the software systems that control computers. Hardware engineers work exclusively with computers and related equipment, supervising the manufacturing and installation processes. Software engineers develop new software systems and incorporate new technologies in a rapidly growing range of applications.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, and test computer hardware and software programs.
• Supervise the manufacturing and installation of computers and related equipment.
• Develop new software systems and incorporate new technologies.
• Apply principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to design, develop, test, and evaluate software and systems.
• Analyze users' needs and design, construct, test, and maintain computer applications software or systems.
• Solve technical problems and develop algorithms to address programming issues.
• Utilize programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Fortran, and COBOL.

• Strong understanding of computer hardware and software systems.
• Ability to supervise manufacturing and installation processes.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Fortran, and COBOL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Levels And Requirements

Level I: ENGINEER, COMPUTER I

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science.
• Experience: No required professional experience.
  
  

Level II: ENGINEER, COMPUTER II

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science.
• Experience: 3 years of professional experience in computer design, software development, or computer networks.
  
  

Salary: $60000 - $110000 per year
