A3E Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Developer and Administrator to join our team. This position requires a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server based database development and administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, data manipulation, query writing, query optimization, and related tasks. As a Database Developer and Administrator, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our SQL Server-based databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server-based databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance. Collaborate with software developers and stakeholders to understand data requirements and design appropriate database solutions. Write complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Optimize database performance by fine-tuning queries, indexing, and implementing best practices. Monitor database systems to identify and resolve performance issues, bottlenecks, and other problems. Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access control and data encryption. Perform regular backups and recovery operations to ensure data availability and integrity. Conduct database capacity planning and recommend appropriate infrastructure enhancements. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and propose database solutions. Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in database development and administration. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in SQL-based database development and administration. Proficient in SQL Server and related technologies. Strong knowledge of database design principles, data modeling, and normalization. Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing query performance. Experience with query tuning, indexing, and query execution plan analysis. Solid understanding of database security concepts and best practices. Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities. This is a remote Work From Home position in the evening shift.
