Responsible for database design, development and maintenance for clients. Conduct thorough study of client's business process to identify and ascertain their needs and requirements of database. Convert business requirements to logical design and translate to physical design. Translate business requirements into an application architecture. Ensure the accessibility, security and integrity of data. Design and implement stored procedures, views and triggers for automating tasks in T-SQL. Develop and execute several optimized queries in SQL. Create data user profiles and roles. Create permanent tables, temporary tables, variables and indexes. Create stored procedures, user defined functions and views. Develop and execute optimized queries in SQL. Perform ETL (extract, transform, and load) and data compression. Work on improving the performance of database. Generate reports using SSPS. Create subscriptions for the reports in SSRS. Write scripts and transactions to manipulate data. Perform rapid prototyping in agile environment. Responsible for database performance fine tuning. Responsible for database severity issues. Take care of disaster recovery and standby issues. Fix database problems as per the respective events, like syncing and stability. Coordinate the upgrade and patching (CPU) for all the production databases. Develop database using PL/SQL packages, triggers, cursors, procedures and functions. Clone the databases regularly for the reporting databases and stage environments. Use Oracle database, Shell Scripting, TOAD, PL/SQL, T-SQL, SSRS, SSPS, SSIS, and SQL Server.
Educational requirements: Master's or its foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Work Experience requirements: 3 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation as a Database Administrator, Software Engineer or Software Developer.
Specific skill or other requirements:The required 3 months of work experience must include experience with ETL, T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, and SQL Server. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
Job location: Various unanticipated client sites throughout the U.S.; thus, travel and/or relocation to the client site is required.
Work schedule: 9 AM - 5 PM. Monday to Friday.
