Responsibilities will include: develop scripts using Hive QL, to build the consumption tables from base tables. Build scripts to load data in to ThoughtSpot. End to end validation of data throughout the application using QA framework. Building Worksheets and Pinboards as per the business requirement using business intelligence analytics tool –ThoughtSpot. Review and optimize the existing queries and hive scripts by implementing query performance enhancement techniques. Write HQL code and design tables, views, Indexes and constraints to support development project. Debug deadlocks and data skewing. Troubleshoot the hive jobs using available toll- Automic. Support code/design analysis, strategy development and project planning. Work closely with application developers to ensure proper design and implementation of the database system. Perform all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis and application design. Responsible for gathering and analyzing the requirements and convert them into User Requirement Specifications and Functional Requirement Specifications for the designers and developers to understand them as per their perspective. Schedule the daily/weekly jobs to run the data load scripts using the Automic scheduler.
