As a Database Developer at AXIS, you have solid experience with MS SQL Server (2000/2005/2008), Transact SQL, and DTS/SSIS packages. Your knowledge of SSRS, VB6/.NET, C#, ASP/ASP.NET,XML and IVR telephony systems would be an asset. You will be responsible for developing and delivering optimal database solutions for a prestigious group of North American clients. Working with AXIS IT, Sales and Project Management resources you will be responsible to ensure client business objectives and timelines are met on each project you work on. Must Have Skills MS SQL (2000/2005/2008) T-SQL SSIS/DTS ETL XML C# VB.NET VB6 Areas of Responsibility Participating in the analysis of Client business objectives and scoping of projects Managing database design, document and diagram logical database structure Designing data architectures to minimize duplication of data and maximize data consistency Managing multiple environments (Development/Demo/Production) Coordinating and applying modifications to the database with project management and development staff Define and implement data transfer and data conversion strategies Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and schemas Maintaining existing T-SQL code and DTS/SSIS packages General Qualifications/Assets You are a highly motivated, detail-oriented and organized individual with a College or University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline You have a minimum of 3 years of database development experience working with teams as well as independently You have solid understanding and experience with relational databases Your SQL Server Integration Services and Analysis Services experience is above average You are experienced in writing and debugging T-SQL code You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills You have working knowledge of data modeling and Data Warehouse design and maintenance in a business environment Document code with detailed inline comments, and create clear external documentation as required Your programming knowledge includes (but is not limited to) C#/VB.NET/VB6 Your experience with databases and data warehouses in a production environment would be a valuable asset You have solid communication skills, both oral and written and you can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals You have or are willing to learn ASP.NET and/or PHP based Web programming skills Experience in marketing database industry would be an asset Please send your cover letter and resume to [email protected].
