The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, IT & Administration, you will collaborate to manage and maintain the Association’s database system. You will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our membership, event exhibits and attendee data. Your responsibilities will include assisting staff and contractors in effectively using the Association Management System (AMS), responding to user inquiries, participating in testing, and creating and updating training resources. You will also lead the ongoing data maintenance and clean up to ensure data consistency. Your technical and database management skills will contribute to the smooth operations of our member and event management processes.


What You Will Do:

  • Receive and Evaluate Requests from Staff: effectively manage and remedy requests from team members related to the AMS (ClearVantage), provide technical support to users of the database system, assist with troubleshooting and resolving database related issues.
  • Conduct and Evaluate Testing: assist in the testing of all web forms and web-based apps.
  • Reporting and Analysis: collaborate with other departments to develop lists and reports as required.
  • Create and Update Training Resources: conduct training, create and maintain documentation, manuals and other training resources.
  • Maintenance and clean up: participate in the review, clean up and merging of individual and organization records.
  • Continuous Improvement: review and suggest improvements for processes and workflows in the AMS.
  • Data Privacy and Compliance: Assist with projects related to compliance with data protection regulations and privacy policies.
  • Other duties as reasonably required based on PDAC needs.

You Have:

  • University/College degree in a relevant field of study or a combination of equivalent education, job-related training and/or experience
  • 1-2 years experience with Association Management Systems; knowledge of or experience with ClearVantage by Euclid Technologies is an asset
  • Solid understanding of relational data concepts; familiarity with SQL is a plus
  • Experience developing training resources and delivering user training
  • Proven experience in system and database testing
  • Demonstrated administrative, organizational and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

This position will be working in a hybrid mode. The PDAC office is located at 170 University Avenue, Suite 800, Toronto, Ontario.
