Starting Salary: $26.67–$29.18 (depending on experience)

About This Position
The Database Analyst I is responsible for supporting the design, creation, and maintenance of the primary database systems used throughout the enterprise. They will provide direction and support to departments on the selection, implementation, and operation of their computer system database elements (supported systems are primarily vendor-developed applications).
Must be able and willing to occasionally work hours beyond the normal scheduled workday or to change work hours for system implementation or testing.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
General knowledge equivalent to 2 years of college
3 years of related experience and/or training
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
Responsibilities
Support the data, process, program, and integration sides of enterprise-wide applications, including the following:
Customer Information System (CIS)
Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)
AMS Work Order System
Permitting, Licensing, and Land records (PLL) systems
Perform data analysis, design, customization, and maintenance for applications
Support regular data management processes and ad hoc query and report requests
Perform database development and maintenance
Install, upgrade, backup, recover, design and upgrade databases
Perform backup and recovery; security and performance tuning; physical and logical design; stored procedures; triggers; and monitoring of databases
Work with staff and vendors to maintain the databases at optimal performance
Support the organization's MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle server database instances
Necessary Skills
Advanced skill with SQL and PostgreSQL
Knowledge of relational database concepts
Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug and audio screenings
