Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS) such as MS SQl, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Mongo DB or Oracle. Monitor database performance and optimize for speed and scalability. Perform regular database backup, recovery, and failover strategies. Collaborate with developers to design and implement efficient database schemas. Manage database security, including access controls and encryption. Conduct regular maintenance tasks, such as patching and updates. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues to minimize downtime. Automate recurring tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell. Ensure data integrity and consistency through proper indexing, partitioning, and normalization techniques. Stay updated with the latest advancements in database technologies and implement best practices. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator. Strong knowledge of SQL and database management tools. Familiarity with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud). Proficient in database tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting. Experience with database backup and disaster recovery strategies. Knowledge of database security and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Certification (e.g., Oracle DBA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate). Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
