As we expand our footprint in India, we're looking for an experienced Database Administrator to be based in our office located in Pune.

The Database Administrator will be managing DB2 LUW and MS SQL Server databases and will be responsible for managing and optimizing the databases running on Red-Hat Linux and Windows Server platforms, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security through tasks like installation, configuration, maintenance, backup & recovery, DR, performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Skills:

• Installing, configuring, and upgrading database software.
• Managing database objects (tables, indexes, views).
• Managing user accounts, permissions, and security.
• Developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies.
• Monitoring database performance and tuning for optimal efficiency.
• Troubleshooting and resolving database issues.
• Documenting database procedures and configurations.
• Managing database storage and capacity planning.
• Setting up and Managing Database Backup and recovery
• Supporting application development teams.
• Participating in on-call rotation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• 3 - 5 years of experience working operational DB2 LUW and MS SQL Server environments.
• Experience to include all aspects of DB2 LUW on RHEL 7.x and above and SQL Server administration on Windows Server 2016 and above in a large server estate.
• Relevant certifications ( IBM Certified Database Administrator - DB2 11.1 for LUW, Microsoft Certified SQLServer DBA) are a plus.
• Experience with Azure SQL, MySQL and MongoDB is a plus
