The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, installing and managing our databases. You will ensure optimal database performance by analyzing database issues and monitoring database performance. 

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and administers databases and data stores
• Conducts routine backups of server data on all platforms
• Secures company databases by setting and enforcing standards and controls.
• Prepares for database expansion by studying plans and requirements, advising senior technical management, and coordinating design and programming.
• Keeps senior technical management informed by preparing reports on system performance and problems.
• Upgrades hardware and software by assessing transaction processing and database production options.Installs, maintains, and administers databases and data stores
• Conducts routine backups of server data on all platforms
• Develops and configures tools to enable automation of database administration tasks.
• Identify and investigate complex problems and issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Performs routine configuration, installation, and reconfiguration of database and related products.
• Performs analysis and monitors database performance and identifies areas where improvement is needed.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in any field, preferably in Computer Science or any related course.
• At least one year of experience as a Database Admin on Windows and Linux platform and in administering MySQL, POSTGRE, SQL server, Hana
• Understanding of performance monitoring tools, index, and query optimization
• Knowledge of UNIX OS
• Knowledge of SQL architecture, such as objects, schemas, system database, SQL Services
• Knowledge of SQL Server backup/restore and other maintenance strategies
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve SQL Server performance issues
• Experience writing SQL statements Understanding of performance monitoring tools, index and query optimization
• With good interpersonal skills, well organized, and able to navigate through various (job scope) areas comfortably.
• With a sense of urgency and can meet required turn-around-time.
