TITLE: Database Administrator DUTIES: Proactively troubleshoots and implements solutions to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end user requirements. Troubleshoots systemic issues, documenting issues and working to resolve problems. Ensure accurate recording, updating and tracking of data in sql server. Test programs or databases, correct errors, and make necessary modifications. Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses. Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner. Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards. Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users. Maintain sql server inventory/asset list and licensing. Performance monitoring and tuning sql server while working with application vendors to resolve performance issues. T-sql development including new functionality and debugging existing functionality. Patching sql environments and migrating legacy sql installations to new installations as necessary. Development and deployment of ssis, ssrs, ssas. Responsible for sql server backup and disaster recovery. Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required. Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity. Assist in planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure. Participate in new projects that will depend on sql server as the database platform. This includes attending project meetings and communicating with stake holders to insure deliverables are being met to developing it standards and procedures. Serves as a liaison or technical resource for others in it or to partners within other business units. Manage Microsoft sql database, routine maintenance, validation and fine tuning planning, planning & execution of backup, recovery of data and other housekeeping scripts to ensure high availability of sql databases. Create source to target mappings and etl design for integration of new/modified data streams into the data warehouse/data marts. Create and manage extraction transformation and loading (etl) process by pulling large volumes of data (vldb) from various data sources using ssis. Create clustered and non-clustered indexes to produce complex query by joining multiple tables while working on stored procedures. Use execution plan, sql profiler and database engine tuning advisor to optimize queries and enhance the performance of databases. Create database objects, index, cte, views, tables, stored procedures, etc. As needed for analytics. Ensure the existing stored procedure are running fine and enhance the performance of the newly created sp. Working confidential azure cloud platform in components of azure sql & data warehouse. Work on reporting tool power bi reports and confidential azure cloud space. Troubleshot, address, and resolve database issues. Analyze complex data in the source to look for data quality problems and write code to identify and fix data quality issues for existing store procedures. Work with the team to manage existing store procedures, db scripts, jobs and data standards to support robust data and document management infrastructure. REQUIREMENTS: BACHELOR'S DEGREE, OR EQUIVALENT, IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, SOFTWARE OR COMPUTER ENGINEERING, OR RELATED DISCIPLINE 5 YEARS OF PROGRESSIVE EXPERIENCE IN DATABASE DEVELOPMENT AND ADMINISTRATING EXPERIENCE IN PRODUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT, DATA OPERATIONS OR OTHER RELEVANT FUNCTIONAL AREA OF IT.
