Job Title: Database Administrator (Contract to Hire position)

Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic-minded Database Administrator to manage and optimize our database environments across development, test, and production. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation in database management and an interest in growing into a leadership position focused on analytics, insights, and team leadership.

Key Technical Skills:

• Deep expertise in SQL
• Strong knowledge of physical database design and optimization
• Experience with Tableau (desktop and server) and reporting best practices
• Familiarity with Agile Development Methodologies
• Proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain databases for development, testing, and production environments
• Analyze, test, and implement physical database design and structure
• Document and maintain current database environments, ensuring proper patching and updates
• Ensure data recovery, integrity, and space planning through robust policies and standards
• Audit existing environments and provide capacity planning and best practices for future growth
• Establish and refine database standards and operational procedures
• Conduct performance assessments and tuning of database systems
• Collaborate with system administrators, technical managers, developers, and solution architects to support enterprise-wide initiatives

Job Location: Hybrid 4 onsite 1 Remote

• 5–10 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator
• Proven leadership experience within the telecommunications industry (6+ years preferred)
• Experience working with customer-facing products and services (5+ years)
• Experience working within data platforms and data analysis environments (5+ years)
• 3–5 years of experience managing complex projects and leading data-focused teams
