Salary: $55.41 to $64.16 hourly

Description

We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role involves modernizing and managing databases by migrating data to the cloud while maintaining some on-premises systems for confidentiality. Based in Denver, Colorado, you will play a critical role in optimizing database performance and leveraging data for meaningful insights.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient database structures to support business needs.
• Perform advanced data queries and mining to provide actionable insights.
• Optimize database performance through tuning and troubleshooting.
• Migrate data to Azure cloud while ensuring seamless integration with Linux-based on-premises systems.
• Collaborate with team members to improve data accessibility and reliability.
• Utilize PowerBI for creating data visualizations and generating reports.
• Conduct cluster analysis and apply configuration management techniques.
• Oversee database administration tasks, ensuring data security and compliance.
• Work closely with in-house applications to ensure database compatibility and efficiency.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to team members as needed.
  
  
  

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in database administration and design.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, including cloud migration and management.
• Expertise in Linux technologies and relational database systems such as MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Advanced skills in database optimization and performance tuning.
• Strong knowledge of PowerBI for reporting and business intelligence.
• Experience with cluster analysis and configuration management.
• Demonstrated ability to work with in-house, custom-built applications.
