Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced MS SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our enterprise-scale database systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of MS SQL Server architecture, performance tuning, high availability configurations, security, and disaster recovery strategies. You will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our databases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain MS SQL Server databases in enterprise environments.
• Monitor system health and performance; proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and configuration adjustments.
• Implement and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, such as AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Log Shipping, and Replication.
• Perform regular database backups and restores; ensure data integrity and recoverability.
• Design and implement maintenance plans, monitoring jobs, and alerts.
• Collaborate with development teams on database design, stored procedures, and query optimization.
• Ensure database security through roles, permissions, and encryption practices.
• Maintain documentation for database architecture, procedures, and standards.
• Plan and execute database upgrades and patches with minimal downtime.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Motivated professionals with an experience of 6-15years
• Proven experience as a DBA for MS SQL Server in enterprise environments (SQL Server 2016 and above preferred).
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Server Agent.
• Hands-on experience with HA/DR solutions like AlwaysOn, Failover Clustering, etc.
• Proficient with backup and recovery strategies, monitoring tools, and system health checks.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database) is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or related certifications.
• Experience in handling data migration projects and working in DevOps environments.
• Knowledge of PowerShell or automation scripts for database tasks.
