Job Title: Database Administrator 3 (DB2 | Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid in Austin, TX (1 Day Onsite/Month)

Type: Contract (40–50 hours/week)

We are seeking a seasoned Database Administrator 3 to provide critical support and development for high-impact data systems. This role will focus on maintaining application functionality, correcting data issues, and ensuring operational continuity through both support and development efforts.

You will collaborate closely with application teams to analyze data flows, troubleshoot issues, and enhance application performance. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with DB2 and a strong understanding of Unix/Linux environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert-level database support and maintenance for enterprise-level applications.
• Analyze and resolve data issues to ensure uninterrupted business services.
• Modify and improve existing database-related code or develop new solutions where needed.
• Create and maintain documentation related to new and existing applications.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of hands-on DB2 database experience
• 3+ years of experience working on AIX/Unix/Linux platforms
• 3+ years of shell scripting/programming
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment

Preferred Experience:

• 5+ years of experience with DB2 Z/OS

Schedule & Work Environment:

• Full-time contract: 40–50 hours/week
• Work hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM CST
• Hybrid: One (1) day per month required onsite
