About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of data architecture for a major initiative focused on Dealer Systems within the Marketing, Sales, and Service domain. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in data modeling, data quality, and analytics architecture. You will collaborate with enterprise and solution architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to shape the future of data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead data design discussions and create conceptual and logical data models, data dictionaries, and information flows.
- Define and maintain reporting strategies and identify authoritative data sources.
- Conduct data quality analysis, identify issues, and propose solutions.
- Guide product teams in physical data model design and implementation.
- Ensure adherence to data architecture standards, best practices, and governance.
- Develop and maintain an information architecture roadmap (now, near, and far view).
- Facilitate discussions to identify systems of record and define current and future state data flows.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years of data modeling experience with expertise in relational and/or dimensional analysis.
- 5+ years of experience in data warehouse design.
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles and architecture concepts.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise modeling tools (e.g., PowerDesigner, ERWIN).
- Proficiency in database technologies such as Oracle, DB2, Teradata, Hadoop, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and GCP BigQuery.
- Experience with data analytics and cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Master Data Management (MDM).
- GCP certification or other relevant data architecture certifications.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced certifications preferred.
