Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Data Support Engineer (Azure) to join our growing data team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures using the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. Your work will directly support analytics, reporting, and data science initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines on Azure using services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL.
• Build scalable, reliable, and secure data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions.
• Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, data governance, and compliance with data security policies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and issues.
• Automate workflows and integrate with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps.
• Optimize data storage and processing costs on Azure.

Profile

• Minimum Bachelors degree in Computer Science, engineering or relevant field
• Total 2-3 years of experience as Data Engineer, mainly in Azure environment
• Minimum 1+ year of experience in Data and Analytics from modelling and reporting standpoint
• Minimum 1+ year exposure to IT architecture and solutioning for data flows among systems and applications.
• Minimum 1+ year delivering solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform with a special emphasis on data solutions and services - Data Factory, Data Lake, Data Bricks, Azure SQL, SSIS, and Synapse.
• Experience with ETL tools preferable Azure Data Factory and DataBricks (or similar)
• Azure Data Lakes experience and PBI is a big plus
• Strong analytical skills and troubleshooting skills
• Should have good knowledge in testing and validating data solutions
• Database skills, scripting and data modeling
• Fast learner and able to embrace new technologies
• Very good written and spoken English
