An innovative start-up product company has an opening for a Data Scientist to tackle complex, real-world challenges using cutting-edge technology and data-driven solutions.

The Data Scientist will focus on developing models, deriving data-driven insights, and creating strategies using both machine learning and traditional statistical methodologies. You will be integral to the research, development, and productionalization of advanced analytical methods, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Predictive Analytics.

This is a full-time/perm role - applicants must be eligible for direct-hire without sponsorship or a visa now or in the future. This is also a hybrid role - you must reside in the Atlanta area and be open to being onsite up to 3x per week.

What we're looking for...

• 5+ years of professional work experience in data science, with a focus on machine learning, predictive modeling, and data analytics
• Proven experience deploying machine learning models and pipelines in production environments, particularly within cloud platforms and microservices architectures
• Recent deployment of modern classification models (e.g. GBDT such as LightGBM and deep neural nets)
• Experience building ML systems from scratch with limited initial infrastructure
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with NLP and LLM
• Strong knowledge of data governance, compliance, and ethical AI practices
• Familiarity with financial or policy-related data (preferred)
• Experience with data visualization tools and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS), along with familiarity with MLOps
