The Role
Based in London, within the Perenco group, the Data & Records Analyst will join and work within adynamic and fast paced Geoscience department.
The ideal candidate will support document management across multiple departments, oversee intranet administration, and contribute to the development of analytical dashboards. This role involves designing interactive and insightful visualizations to enhance data-driven decision-making within the Geoscience department. Additionally, the candidate will efficiently handle invoices and perform various administrative tasks, including data digitization and intranet maintenance.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Responsibilities would include (but not limited to):
- Collaborate with the data management and application support team within the Geosciences department to ensure seamless operations.
- Handle records requests from staff, ensuring timely and accurate retrieval of both physical and digital information.
- Liaise with vendors to acquire, verify, and manage external records and data sources.
- Manage and maintain both physical and digital records databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with company standards.
- Ensure suitable storage, organisation, and secure disposal of physical records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support records database migration to a new system and workflow automation to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and maintain visual dashboards using Power BI to provide comprehensive analytics and insights to support decision making within the department.
- Manage and support data reporting through the company's internal intranet system.
- Administer and manipulate geoscience data, including operations data warehousing, reporting, and analytics.
- Digitize, load, transfer, and manage data across multiple databases and applications, including ArcGIS.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to optimize the functionality and efficiency of geoscience applications.
- Oversee invoice processing and vendor coordination, ensuring timely approvals, accurate documentation, and PO adherence for software and data services.
- Provide essential data management and technical application support to geoscientists, petrophysicists, and geophysicists, enabling them to perform their duties effectively.
Qualification/Experience/Specification
Essential:
- A degree in mathemathics, science, engineering, database manage mentor equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in record management softwares, for example Insight and Mfiles.
- Experience with SQL Database.
- Expertise in Power BI and other Microsoft applications.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and automation.
- Knowledge and understanding of data management projects, including data clean-up, quality control, and data loading.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
- Highly collaborative and team-oriented.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a technical support or data management role.
- Basic understanding of subsurface domains (Geology, Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering, Petrophysics, Wells, etc).
