Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Business Analyst to join our Data Products team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data by meticulously reviewing Excel spreadsheets and other data source documents for a variety of errors and inconsistencies. You will collaborate closely with our Forecasting, Research, and Industry KPIs teams to identify and resolve data discrepancies, ensuring that our deliverables meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Quality Assurance: Review Excel spreadsheets and other data sources for formula errors, broken links, incorrect references, and data integrity issues.
• Data Validation: Validate and verify quantitative data from source documents, reports, and dashboards, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Error Reporting and Resolution: Highlight errors and discrepancies, and work with appropriate teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all flagged issues and resolutions.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to clarify spreadsheet structures, confirm references, and align on data accuracy expectations.
• Data Visualization: Assist in transforming Excel data into charts and visualizations for project-based tasks.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on data validation and analysis (Advanced Excel skills may be considered in lieu of a degree)
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, functions (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, nested IFs), pivot tables, and conditional formatting. Very good in data and formula auditing.
