Insight Global is looking for a Data Quality Consultant to join one of our clients in their Data Quality and Control organization. This is a 12-18-month contract engagement that will be hybrid, 3 days onsite in Plano, TX. This role engages with business and tech teams to understand and document data that is being used within various data sources and data domains. Documentation includes identifying data elements which are used in reports, and tracing the data flow back to the originating system which produces the data. As these elements are identified, required metadata names and definitions of each element will be written and stored in the local metadata repository. Data Quality rules will be required for each element to ensure that the underlying data is meeting business requirements. Data Lineage flows will be gathered manually and through automated tools where available. Data Quality metrics will be applied to the authorized data source for monthly reporting to executives. While performing this function, meeting with business and tech managers will be a critical function of the success of this role. Developing relationships with these partners will provide insight into the data that is critical for reporting, as well as provide seamless engagement opportunities within the teams for working relationships with developers and analysts. Assisting with technical aspects, including understanding SQL and high-level database structures will drive the success in completing the end-to-end data requirements of the Data Quality and Control Executive function.
Must Haves:
1.) Understanding of Data Management fundamentals, including metadata, data quality, and data governance.
2.) Understanding of data controls both at the file/feed/interface level and object level.
3.) Advanced Excel Skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Analysis, Calculations, formatting and operational functionality of data.
4.) Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to work in person, virtually, and in a globally staffed environment.
Compensation:
$73.68/hr.
