Position: Data Protection Officer

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (flexible working)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

We’re looking for a strong leader with experience in Data Protection and Security to manage and support the delivery of our clients Data Protection Office service. You’ll lead a team, provide guidance across the organisation, and help drive a culture of data protection awareness and compliance.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and advise on data protection, security, and confidentiality across the organisation
• Provide expert guidance on legislation, contracts, DPIAs, DTAC, and IG for projects
• Work with senior teams to implement Privacy by Design
• Keep up to date with frameworks like ISO27001 and support audit processes
• Line manage and coach team members, supporting their professional development

Who We’re Looking For

• Proven leadership in data protection, cyber security, and IG
• In-depth understanding of GDPR, FOI, and related legislation
• Experience in NHS or public sector information governance
• Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CISSP, ISO27001, DPA practitioner)
