Responsibilities

Kforce's client is looking for a Data Product Manager for a hybrid contract in San Francisco, CA. Summary: The Data Product Manager will play a critical role in building and enhancing our data intelligence platform. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, data science, design, and business stakeholders to define, prioritize, and execute the product roadmap. The primary focus will be on supporting critical business functions that rely on data to drive time-sensitive business processes through a scalable and robust data platform. The Data Product Manager will work closely with data engineering and data science teams to ensure the quality, reliability, and accuracy of our data assets. Responsibilities:

  • Work with Agile scrum teams on design, definition, documentation, and implementation of features for new applications, business infrastructure, data security, and data structure
  • Document and enter user stories in Jira and assist in story point analysis
  • Document data mapping for use-cases and own data mapping for specific areas
  • Document monitor and revise the following artifacts in support of application development: product requirements, process maps, use cases, user acceptance test plans, project plans, and release notes
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining the product roadmap which defines product enhancements for short- and long-term releases
  • Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing of functional requirements
  • Act as the product owner for an Agile scrum team; Partner with engineering to ensure team delivery and accountability
  • Manage the product backlog, including grooming, prioritization, and sprint planning
  • Communicate product updates and progress to internal stakeholders, executives, and external clients
  • Act with sense of urgency, intellectual curiosity, go beyond boundaries of what your job description states

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Advanced degree is a plus
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Product Manager or similar role, preferably in a data-focused or analytics-driven environment
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, data management, and data engineering concepts
  • Familiarity with financial data and analytics is highly desirable
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, design, and business stakeholders
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
