Summary

Career Title: Data Privacy Analyst Department: Data Governance Note: Competitive salary commensurate with data privacy experience FLSA: Exempt Note: Union dues are 1.44% of bi-weekly paycheck Career Summary: The Data Governance team is looking for a high-performing, innovative and self-starting Data Privacy Analyst that will elevate the level of protection and processes surrounding the processing of personal information within American Nurses Enterprise (ANE). This role will focus on domestic and global compliance with privacy regulations; This role will emphasize the need to build relationships and perform compliance control activities to drive privacy compliance and advance our enterprise program. What you will do: * Develop, implement, and maintain data privacy policies, procedures, and controls. * Conduct periodic privacy impact assessments on new technologies and data practices. * Classify data by sensitivity level and document proper handling procedures that are incorporated into data governance procedures. * Identify and remediate privacy risks and violations through internal assessments. * Proactively analyze data privacy regulations to identify and communicate privacy requirements and necessary controls, to minimize risk based on understanding of data. * Independently provide appropriate guidance, education and communication to relevant stakeholders on topics of privacy, compliance, A.I., and data ethics. * Effectively utilize data technology modules to support operational practices in identifying, communicating, and executing on areas for program improvement. * Demonstrate and effectively utilize knowledge of technology, including advertising technology and artificial intelligence/machine learning, and demonstrate a curiosity through the research and exploration of new topics and proposed solutions. * Maintain awareness of emerging privacy trends, requirements in areas such as Generative AI, AI systems, digital marketing and advertising, cookies & online tracking technologies, consent requirements and automated decision logic. * Respond to data subject requests around access, corrections, and deletions. * Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure privacy-by-design principles are integrated throughout the data's development lifecycle. * Independently evaluate new/existing technologies by documenting and effectively communicating complex privacy requirements in means that technical or business owners may understand. * Identify and track risk and compliance trends from privacy assessments, incidents, or audits to formulate recommendations on remediation and program enhancements. * Serve as a trusted liaison between the data privacy program and appropriate business and technological partners to achieve compliance with laws, internal policies and standards, inquiries and breach reporting. * Stay current surrounding privacy laws at the state, national and international level and assist with compliance. * Develop, update and lead annual privacy assessments. * Maintain privacy-related documentation and records. What you bring to ANE: Education: * Bachelor's degree, or related field. Related Work Experience: * Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in data privacy role. * Extensive knowledge of USA Data Privacy laws and regulations, GDPR, and other relevant data privacy regulations. * Risk management and audit experience are highly desired. * Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities. * Sharp attention to detail with strong analytical capabilities. * Ability to translate complex regulations into actionable policies and procedures. Preferred Skills & Experience * Passionate about developing, strengthening, and communicating about data privacy, technology, data governance, and program development. * Certifications such as CIPP(US), CIPM, CIPT, AIGP. * Experience creating and delivering privacy training and awareness activities * Experience analyzing and evaluating information systems and data integrations for privacy risks * Strong experience with privacy impact assessments (PIAs), privacy compliance documentation, and privacy risk mitigation. * Strong understanding of global frameworks and privacy operations relevant to meeting regulatory requirements. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to craft and provide practical solutions to risk. * Must be able to adapt to the people, processes, and technology within the enterprise. * Ability to work autonomously. * Ability to adapt to a fast-paced business environment while managing multiple priorities and maintaining productivity. * Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex materials with technical and non-technical staff. * Experience understanding data privacy mapping/flows to identify potential risks and implementation of corrective measures, ensuring accurate tracking of personal information throughout its lifecycle. * 3-5 years of demonstrated experience within the field * 2+ years within a complex compliance or risk-based program related to privacy * 2+ years building and implementing projects and programs that include requirements, policies, standards and control deployment and enforcement. * 2+ years using privacy management principles, practices, and tools. * Demonstrated success in communicating and cross-collaborating within global environments.
