Position Overview

The Data Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing data processes, ensuring data integrity, governance, and accessibility across the organization. This role plays a key part in managing data operations, automation, and governance initiatives while collaborating closely with IT, business leaders, and analytics teams.

The Data Operations Manager will drive high-complexity and high-priority data projects, ensuring alignment with business needs and strategic objectives. The role involves managing data pipelines, ensuring a single source of truth, and enforcing data accuracy, security, and compliance across functions.

Additionally, this role is responsible for maintaining efficient data operations workflows, optimizing team capacity, and identifying opportunities for automation and process improvements. The Data Operations Manager will play a critical role in streamlining end-to- end data processes, driving harmonization and standardization of data practices, and supporting business intelligence initiatives to enable data-driven decision-making

Responsibilities

• Prepare project updates and reports for the Steering Committee (SteerCo), ensuring clear communication of progress, roadblocks, and key insights to top management, including Vice Presidents and Executive Directors.
• Manage and/or execute high-complexity and high-priority projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely delivery of impactful data solutions.
• Optimize team capacity and resource allocation based on evolving business priorities, ensuring efficiency in project execution and data operations.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, proactively addressing risks and dependencies to deliver data solutions as per agreed schedules.
• Collaborate with IT teams to secure data access, follow established procedures for data connection and ingestion, and maintain rigorous data governance, quality, and security standards.
• Partner with business owner leads (VPs, Executive Directors) to define, develop, and implement automation and data operations projects that meet evolving business requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in data processing, automation, and operational workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Oversee data pipeline performance, ensuring high availability, accuracy, and optimization for business-critical reporting and analytics.
• Ensure compliance with data governance frameworks, working closely with IT team to uphold any security requirements
• Support the development and maintenance of a single source of truth, ensuring data consistency and alignment across Brands and Regions
• Identify and implement best practices in data operations, automation, and analytics to enhance overall business intelligence capabilities.
• Lead and mentor a team of data professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance data operations, automation, and analytics efficiency.
• Develop and enforce documentation standards, ensuring clear and up-to-date process documentation for data pipelines, workflows, and governance procedures.
  
  

Requirements

• Major in Business, Industrial Engineering or IT
• 5 years+ relevant experience
• Continuous improvement and service-oriented mindset.
• Strong focus on collaborating effectively with internal customers understanding their needs and identification of the audience and their area of focus
• Data processing and analysis skills
• Abstract intelligence to be able to structure models, logic analysis and data management.
• Spatial intelligence to be able to communicate business analysis through visual analytics
